FAQs

How does sponsorship work?

Sponsorship is a vehicle for you to follow a specific student and/or graduate through their journey at Nativity Prep Academy or through the high school they currently attend. It provides the general operational funds that keep Nativity Prep able to continue our work of breaking the cycle of poverty through education for our students and families.

How does Nativity Prep Academy get its funding?

Nativity Prep Academy is funded solely through the generosity of individual donors and corporate and foundation grants. We receive no government or diocesan funding. All donations!

Are you a not for profit organization?

Nativity Prep is a 501 (c) 3. Donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. To preserve the tax deductibility of your contributions, Nativity Prep Academy maintains the ability to use the funds you contribute in its sole discretion. We work to use your funds in ways consistent with your wishes.

If I help fund a need, will I hear about how things are progressing?

Yes! You can track the funding of any need on the fundraising portal of the Nativity Prep website. If you are the sponsor of a student, you will receive letters from him/her once each quarter to let you know how they are doing. Once a capital item is funded, you will receive email notification that the item is paid for in full.

How do you choose which needs and project to put on the site?

We review all of our needs and publish according to importance. Once an item is funded it will be rotated out and another rotated in.

Can I stay involved by funding another need?

Yes, you may fund as many things as you’d like. We are most grateful for your help in getting all our needs funded.

Is this site secure, and is my credit card information safe?

Absolutely, your information is safely encrypted and we partner with Google Checkout for all credit card processing.

Why do you use Google Checkout?

Google Checkout is safe, secure, easy and free for us to use. That allows even more of your donation to go toward transforming the lives of our students and graduates.
